Mindful creation.

A journey into meditation and mindfulness brought me to discover the joy of exploring a fluid doodle technique that seamlessly integrates with my Mishima ceramics.

Delving into this art form, I've found a synergy between its organic patterns and the serene allure of pottery. My creations explore intricate carvings and inlays, weaving these natural designs into various detailed forms. Each piece is designed to create an energetic synergy, inviting you to embrace the beauty of the present moment.

Natural Harmony.

With inspiration drawn from the vibrant hues of nature, my ceramics are focused on capturing these colours and blending them into stunning combinations.

The forms I create are intentionally simple yet versatile, designed to be both functional for everyday use and beautiful for display. Each piece allows the breathtaking elegance of its tones and colours to take center stage, inviting you to experience the beauty of nature in your home.

For me, mushrooms steal the spotlight in the enchanting world of Mishima pottery. Their whimsical charm inspires many of my creations, adding a touch of mystical magic to each piece.

As our fascination with mushrooms grows, so does my desire to celebrate their wonder through ceramics. They infuse my pottery with a touch of wonder, inviting you to embark on a journey into the fantastical realms of nature.

Unique and authentic, not perfect.

In my world of handmade ceramics, every imperfection tells a story and adds charm. Each piece is lovingly crafted by hand, meaning it comes with its own unique quirks and character.

Embracing the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, it’s about celebrating the beauty of imperfections. It's like finding joy in those little messy, authentic moments that make life interesting, with its own unique quirks.

So, if you're bored of cookie-cutter designs and perfectly straight lines, you’re in the right place!

Discovering pottery in my late 40s was a revelation—a sanctuary from the hustle and mental clutter that once clouded my days. With clay beneath my fingertips, I found solace, presence, and pure joy. Crafting ceramics isn't just an art form for me; it's a journey of self-discovery and creative awakening.

I believe in the boundless wellspring of creativity within each of us, waiting to be tapped into. When I'm at the wheel or carving designs, I'm not just shaping clay; I'm channeling inspiration, fully immersed in the flow of creation.

My pieces are born from the spontaneity of the moment, free from the constraints of busyness. They're crafted for kindred spirits seeking respite from the relentless noise of modern life—those who crave a moment to pause, reflect, and simply be.

So, if you're ready to silence the chatter and embrace the serenity of the present, come explore my pottery. Let's embark on a journey of mindfulness, one handmade piece at a time.
